I LOVE this photo of my kids...I caught them in the act of lovin' on each other while eating granola at the counter...it was worth the huge mess they made to see this shot. Of course, you can see the character of my son coming out...I'll never know what he'll be wearing next. Coon skin cap, helmet, daddy's belt around his "waist", sister's flower hat...frequently lacking one crucial item of clothing....I LOVE IT...I love his creativity and imagination.
Right now we're reading "Little House in the Big Woods" to Josiah...he sits so enthralled and asks for the same "stories" to be read over and over. I found the partial series at Goodwill for .69 cents a piece...It's fun for me to hear those stories again too...only watching them absorbed from a young boy's perspective instead of my own girlie mindset. He's obsessed with playing "Pa" and with shotguns and shooting animals (sometimes Grace is transformed into a wild animal to be shot...not of her free will!)...I have to have lots of patience in this area...as I'm gun shy...and I have to keep reinforcing the parameters for "gun use" in the home. =) Brent, however, is the fun Daddy, and will often engage in a "battle" as soon as he walks in the door from work.

Still my little GET-IN-TA girl...though she has graduated from playing in the toilet bowl, to climbing up on the toilet, turning on the faucet, and playing in the water. I assume she just wants the same privilege of independently washing her own hands, like brother....but....she just ends up all wet...and wasting quite a bit of water. SO CUTE, though. =) She has no fear of diving head first off the bed (a favorite new game they play together), flipping upside down, climbing up on high stools, and conquering the mountaintops of every surface in the house. =) Still a stubborn little girl, like her mommy, and requiring quite a bit more attention and reinforcement to obey in small areas. She does have this way of melting my heart that is quite different from her brother...with her frequent deposit of kisses with puckered lips, tight hugs around the neck...even to brother..., and the easy smile that makes you feel like she's handing you the best gift you've ever received.

Hey Lisa, I love those pictures of the kids. It looks so cute to see them have such a precious love for one another. I hope you are still doing well. Just remember to take lots of deep breaths each day, a great stress reliever. Also, I came across a raw kale chips recipe that I actually just made tonight. It's really good, but you do need a food dehydrator, I don't know if you have one. The kale chips are actually really cheesy tasting, but without any cheese. I used raw tahini, nutritional yeast, ACV, garlic, shallots, raw soy sauce, and lemon juice. Email me if you want the exact recipe. But it's a really fun recipe and tastes great, family approved. Love ya!
